Facebook aims to attract Fortnite generation with video game streaming service

Facebook has launched a website for people who want to watch live streams of video games, a move it hopes will challenge the Amazon-owned service Twitch as well as potentially tap into a young generation of gamers that may be spending less time on the social network.
The new site is called fb.gg, a play on Facebook’s name and the “good game” phrase used by video game players. It collects live videos of people playing video games and encourages visitors to browse through games and streamers.
Members of the Level Up program are able to receive Facebook Stars, a virtual currency donated by viewers of their game streams. The company has said it will take a cut of all stars given through its service,...
