NEW DELHI: Apple, late last month launched new 9.7-inch iPad with Apple Pencil supportaimed at students and schools. It also confirmed that these will be hitting the Indian shelves in April (this month) at a starting price of Rs 28,000. Now, the tablet is up for pre-orders on Flipkart. It is not for sure if the tablet will be made available on Amazon India.

The 6th-gen Apple iPad 9.7-inch comes in two storage variants, each having a Wi-Fi only and a Wi-Fi + cellular version. The 32GB WiFi and WiFi + cellular models are up for Rs 28,000 and Rs 35,700 respectively. The 128GB WiFi and WiFi + cellular model comes at Rs 38,600 and Rs 46,300 respectively.
Flipkart is also offering discounts by up to Rs 16,000 as a part of the exchange offer. The 2018 iPad 9.7-inch is also up on EMIs payment options starting 957 per month. It can also be purchased with no cost EMI option starting at Rs 3,112.
The tentative date for shipping in New Delhi is shown as April 26. It is worth adding that the Apple Pencil is sold separately at Rs 7,600.

The 2018 Apple iPad 9.7-inch device sports the same design language as its predecessor that came out in March last year. The innards however, have been upgraded. The tablet sports a 9.7-inch Retina display with 2048x1536 pixel resolution. Powering the tablet is the Apple A10 Fusion processor and M10 coprocessor alongside the 8MP rear camera and f/2.4 aperture with 120fps slow motion video recording. At the front there is a 1.2MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Alongside the tablet, Apple also took the wraps off from programs and platforms specifically made for school teachers and students. The teachers and students who have a Managed Apple ID will have access to 200GB of free iCloud storage.
